Never a Dull Moment
I finally got the opportunity to have a girls weekend at the ranch with some friends. It was wonderful! We watched movies, played games, talked, and laughed alot. We even stayed in our pajamas for a whole day on Saturday. There was no fussing and whining, and I didn’t have people asking me every 5 seconds to do something for them. Unfortunately, the dream ended when I fell and broke my right foot 10 mintues before leaving to head home. My dear friends: Lynette and Peggy took great care of me. Lynette drove us home and me to the minor emergency clinic. I prayed all the way home that I would still be able to drive. Well…… I can! I have what is called a dancer’s break. It is the end of the little toe. I have to wear a boot for 6-8 weeks, but I can drive. I will not be able to train for the triathlon that started on Monday. I was very bummed about that. Emma got out of her boot on Monday and the doctor put me in it on Tuesday. We look like a big mess. Then to top this off. David’s car died. It was going to cost twice the amount to fix it than it is worth. So, we got rid of the 1998 Lexus (that had over 200,000 miles) and bought Victoria the jeep she wanted for her first car. David will drive it for two years until Victoria gets her license. Then, he will get something else. She is very excited and protective of her future vehicle. I will post a picture tomorrow. We are all actually really excited about the jeep. We can’t wait for summer so we can take the top off. God is good… all the time!
